Yellow Birds-Foot Trefoil

Yellow birds-foot trefoil is a merry little plant that grows low to the ground and appears in summer gardens and meadows. Although it derives its name from the appearance of the seed pods and stems, the brilliant yellow flower has given rise to some other delightful names, including "butter and eggs" and "bacon and eggs".

If I ask you, "Shall we go to the garden for some bacon and eggs?", my intention is to trick you into joining me for a bit of weed pulling.
