Nature's Patterns - Watercolours
My first love is watercolour. At six years of age I had my first painting lesson and learned how to make a colour wheel with watercolour. Sixty years later, I'm still hooked. These days I celebrate riding the line along the edge of disaster. Layering negative shapes while working wet into wet is my thrilling challenge!
The edges of artist's quality watercolour paper is torn to leave delicate decal edges. Some paintings have been created using transparent colour only, but frequently I cross over and add velvety opaques into the layering.
