Sparrow and The Golden Oats
Sparrow stood at a distance and eyed the golden oats that the park visitors scattered on the ground. All of her friends tipped their heads, this way and that, and hopped around merrily pecking. Did they not just hear the stranger say "These birds are all identical”?
Sparrow knew that she was different—that she could fly just a little higher than everyone else at this dinner party. She resolved not to indulge in the feast, just to prove the visitors wrong.
