Ciscindle's Party

 As the party guests waved goodbye, everyone remarked on the tasty treats that had been served. Several offered to tidy up, but Ciscindle declined their offers and chirped, “Oh it’s no bother at all.”

Upon turning around, she found the ground littered with nutshells and seed hulls. Her cheerful mood took an abrupt turn. Ciscindle glowered. Not only was she left with a mess and no help, but everyone had followed her instructions for “best wishes only” and there were no surprise gifts for her.
