The Mission

Watercolour portrait fast and loose! This is how I play the game with negative painting techniques. Here's the finished painting, my photo reference, sketch and a very quick video of the steps I made when painting this determined archer. 

I cropped the reference photo, made a sketch (omitting some of the stuff) and transferred the sketch to my watercolour paper. Then I let the simple shapes and paint do the work. I'm not one for fussing over details.
