The Helson Gallery is the premier public art gallery in the Town of Halton Hills, situated approximately 55km northwest of Toronto, Ontario. It is home to the culturally significant Helson Collection of Canadian and European paintings. The Gallery was initially a Congregational Church constructed in 1854. The conversion of the church/library to a gallery enabled the restoration of the original plaster vaulted ceiling and the retention of the colourful stained-glass windows, creating an atmosphere of elegance and tranquility. This restoration has made the Helson Gallery a noteworthy destination in Halton Hills, known for its association with the renowned Group of Seven, the celebrated Canadian landscape painters of the 1920s.
