Dragon With A Pearl Earring
Upon receiving an invitation to the masquerade, Dragon set to work on her costume. One pearl earring for her left ear was all that was required to portray her favourite painting.
She then gave the other earring to her dear friend and instructed her to put it in her right ear. The plan was to perform a tableau vivant in which her friend would sit inside a box to imitate the appearance of a camera obscura. Dragon was pleased with her own cleverness and quite sure that Vermeer would approve.
